The Perks of Having a Diverse Litigation Team- We The Freedom Bloggers

In a class that discusses freedom and its social, political, and economic relevance, being a part of a group with some of the most varying majors and backgrounds aids in the formation and discussion of differing perspectives and views. Within my group is Dan, Ashton, Lydia, Peter and myself. Going around the circle of our group, as each person described themselves briefly, i.e. their major and what they would like to do after college, the diversity present became more and more apparent and starting in the order we went around our group, I'll describe my fellow freedom bloggers. Ashton is a political science major and after college, would like to work on a political campaign. His interest and passion for politics will come in handy going forward within our litigation team in my opinion because it will offer us a political perspective on things- possibly a humanitarian and/or diplomatic perspective as well. With a similar point-of-view, Dan was next to describe himself. He is currently majoring in history and thinking about criminal justice as well. His goal is to enter the field of counter-terrorism out of college. Subsequently so, I foresee his dish within our social, political, and economic potluck to be one of logic, egalitarianism, and active listening and understanding! Next, Lydia described her desire to be a commercial and residential interior designer; interior design being her major. Also wanting to earn a real estate license, she very obviously has a passion for executing visions whether they be someone else's or her own. I believe that she'll offer a creative and innovative way of thinking on different matters and I appreciate the opportunity to have access to such a cool perspective! Finally, with Peter we have business- as he is a business major. But not only that, we have a person non-native to America, coming from Beijing, talking about freedom and defining it all the while coming from a different culture and society. Peter's goal within the realm of business is to acquire the skills and knowledge he needs be successful. With all of this, I truly cannot bring myself to picture a better litigation team. We're all coming from diverse walks of life to stitch together some conception of freedom and the acknowledgement of it's rarity even in a place of it's said-abundance. I am so excited and grateful for this opportunity and these people within my team and class to be able to discuss and think and feel and do freely, to be able to actively practice our first amendment rights. This is the land of the free, and the home of the freedom bloggers.
